Jaipur Watch Company (JWC) is an Indian manufacturer of luxury wristwatches, founded in 2013. It is known for making, Indian- themed watches incorporating Pre-British Era coins, postage stamps, Pichhwai paintings, feathers, and precious stones. Their factory is located in Peenya, Bengaluru. It is India's first luxury watch brand that also makes custom watches with pictures.
With a strong belief in the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Jaipur Watch Company is India’s first bespoke Watch Company.
Started in 2013, it offers an elegant handcrafted limited edition selection of timeless pieces that exude tradition with a subtle hint of contemporary design. Each watch is handcrafted meticulously to be cherished as an heirloom that is worthy of being passed down through generations.
As a young history-obsessed child, Gaurav Mehta found endless joy in historic Coins & Stamps. Gaurav had this ingenious idea of fashioning his own, unique, one-of-a-kind timepiece. This led to the very first Coin Watch, fashioned, albeit a bit crudely using some rather rudimentary methods and a loaner watch. The idea that was born, however, would go on to completely redefine Luxury Watches.
Apart from coin watches, the brand also has a collection of peacock watches which has a peacock feather as a dial, a 3D printed watch, and hand-painted watches inspired by traditional Ganjifa paintings. All of their products are handcrafted and meticulously prepared. Their ‘Bespoke’ collection takes input s from the client and builds a watch according to the client’s vision.
In November 2018, JWC launched its limited edition Jump Hour Watch, which paid homage to Gerald Genta, a Swiss watch designer.
In 2019 JWC launched India’s first 3D-printed watch in stainless steel. It opened its first retail store at Select Citywalk, New Delhi in September 2019. Some of its notable clients include the Royal family of Jodhpur and the Government of Uttarakhand.
