In the setting of Palazzo Ducale in Venice, yesterday 16 May, Bulgari unveiled the new Mediterranean collection of High Jewellery and watches.
The Maison presented around 400 unique pieces of High Jewellery , of which 90 are valued at over a million, with focus on colliers of different carats and precious stones. In the presence of all Bulgari ambassadors Zendaya , Anne Hathaway , Lisa of Blackpink , Priyanka Chopra Jonas , Yifei Liu , Hikari Mori , Yang Yang and Lashana Lynch, but also prominent personalities from the fashion world such as stylists Law Roach (who follows Zendaya) and Erin Walsh (who takes care of Anne Hathaway). A red carpet parterre that rivals the Cannes Film Festival , which is taking place right now on the Croisette.
The loggia of Palazzo Ducale hosted for the first time an exclusive jewellery show under the creative direction of stylist Carine Roitfeld, for which the catwalk was built ad hoc by Orsoni 1888, the last historical furnace in Venice that uses same craft techniques for the realization of the mosaics since 1888. Among the models who took part in the fashion show, the names of Stella Maxwell , Blesnya Minher and Eva Herzigova stand out, accompanied by the soundtrack created by the Italian conductor Beatrice Venezi, a friend of long history of the Maison.
During the show, the models wore jewel-shoes by Renè Caovil which for the occasion reinterpreted its legendary Cleo model: characterized by a snake-shaped strap that wraps around the ankle, the shoe created a symbolic link with the Maison Bulgari and the iconic Serpente which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary. The evening continued with an exclusive gala dinner in the Sala dello Scrutinio of Palazzo Ducale with a special menu created by the starred chef Massimiliano Alajmo, which saw another exceptional guest star: the singer Norah Jones.
