Lizzo served intergalactic style in a custom Gaurav Gupta outfit

Gaurav Gupta just added another win to his goal of becoming a global sensation. Multiple Grammy-winning American rapper Lizzo performed at the annual Governor's Ball music festival in Queens, NYC, wearing a silver outfit that said intergalactic glamour on stage custom-designed by Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta.


The silver ensemble featured a bodysuit with swirly patterns alternating between silver latex and sheer fabric, all overlaid with glittering rhinestones. The bottom consisted of a metallic wrap-around skirt in plain silver and a daring thigh-high slit. While metallic colours like silver and materials like latex are common choices for stage performances for their high shine and resilience, this custom Gaurav Gupta outfit just took it a notch higher with the brand's signature sculptural details at the shoulder and waist, which have become synonymous with the brand in recent times.


Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta, who had an immensely successful debut at the Paris Haute Couture Week of 2023, is fast becoming a popular choice for custom couture ensembles on some of the most important red carpets around the globe. The brand boasts of an illustrious roster of International celebrities donning custom Gaurav Gupta, including the likes of Cardi B (Grammy Awards 2023), Meghan Thee Stallion (Oscars 2022), Maluma (Latin Billboard Music Awards) and Coco Rocha (Cannes 2023), amongst many others.


This particular silver outfit created a beautiful and striking contrast against Lizzo's hot bubblegum pink hair, making the music sensation look pretty hard to miss, which is exactly what you need for a headlining performer at a concert of this scale. She finished off with bleached eyebrows and sleek streaks of shiny black eyeliner, and OTT nails.
