M.A.C LAUNCHES ITS FIRST SKINCARE LINE 'HYPER REAL'

In the beauty industry, there is a new emphasis that it’s what’s underneath that counts.

As the complexion care market booms, M.A.C.—the backstage beauty authority—is banking on the idea of building makeup from the skin up. It hit the Indian shelves in February 2023.

M.A.C. Cosmetics has previously launched products which fall under the skincare category, such as its ‘Strobe Cream’ and its ‘Prep + Prime Fix+’ setting spray. However, its new, gel-like hybrid product ‘Hyper Real Serumizer’ is its first which is designed to be used with or without makeup, as part of an overall makeup look or as a stand-alone skin treatment, according to the brand.

Inspired by MAC's pro MUAs, Hyper Real is all about improving skin in order to enhance the effect of makeup.

“The combination offers a powerhouse that addresses multiple skin issues at the same time,” New York–based dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, MD, confirms of the first drop from the Hyper Real line, which will also include a cleansing oil and moisturising balm.

They believe that they need to have skincare that works with makeup, as “skin today has to be flawless”, makeup artist Michaela Bosch proclaimed.
