The self-titled debut by Phoebe Philo is a bold, Unwavering joy

After arguably the longest tease in fashion history, the big Monday morning when Phoebe Philo launched her online shop had finally arrived. It wasn't just the three endless months that passed after hundreds of people signed up on her website on July 27; it was also the Philophiles' perseverance for almost six years following her split from Celine in 2017. The excitement around the reappearance of this female leader cannot be overstated. especially in light of the fact that more female creative directors are departing the industry than entering it at the moment.

Upon initial observation, she has met industry’s  expectations with a potent dose of imagery and captivating silhouettes that will leave your mind reeling. Her skillful concealment of oddity, sexuality, and humor amongst impeccably wearable clothing is reminiscent of Phoebe Philo. Strong ladies in her photos exude an unwavering confidence that exudes excitement and is essentially directed towards the observer.

During a meeting at the organization's recently constructed headquarters, her comprehensive grasp of fashion—along with many other aspects—became evident. It was evident in the showroom located behind an unassuming building's exterior in London: Phoebe Philo is the birth of a new premium fashion brand in addition to a complete collection. Phoebe is obviously well-versed in Paris fashion, and with its own in-house atelier and perfectionist standards to match, it boasts an impressive collection that includes everything from tailoring to leather jackets (lots of leather), fantastic coats, casual pieces, a suggestion for after-hours wear, shoes, bags, sunglasses, and jewelry.

However, it's also, quite deliberately and crisply, about her economy of style. The thing that has long been missing from her devoted fan base is Phoebe Philo's genius: the way she ingeniously invents new measurements and wearable styles. Her formula for this collection (which she isn't referring to as such, but we'll discuss that in a moment) is as follows: wide, rounded shoulders, pants, and high heels—always and everywhere.

That is, new styles of very specific heels: insanely amusing fringed heels; truly hot stiletto pumps; and high-vamped, just-off-classic loafers with heels molded to be solid and wide at the rear but sliced thin in profile.

Regarding the shoulders, they are enormous and hence in style, but what really makes a difference is their arching, rounded shape, which is more reminiscent of Claude Montana or Giorgio Armani from the 1980s. It all comes together in the slanted silhouette of her model, who is dressed in a dark brown leather blouson, cinched into a drop-waisted peplum, and has precisely graduated wideness in her slacks.
